Is Dragvette.com the only supplier of the billet caps?
I'd really rather not have to drill the yokes to install the u-joint girdles.
Ultimately I think the billet caps would be more reliable in the long run. JMHO.
I bought the girdles from Jegs. I needed to drill the yokes because the 1981 bolt holes were originally 1/4". I don't know what size the holes are in the yokes of 1979 and older. I feel better autocrossing with girdles instead of the original straps and small bolts.
I actually had PM'd you'd previously to ask where you got your billet caps from but did not get a response.
It is good to hear from a fellow Canadian that these caps came from Dragvette.com and they fit perfectly.
I will be making my order with them shortly.
Greatly appreciated.
Sorry- I need to actually 'log-on' and read my PMs more often.
Right after I installed them I brought the car home and hit some black ice.
Put the car in the ditch and sat there in snow up to the windshield from 10pm til 1am , 20 miles outta town. You think someone would stop? Nope. Called all the tow truck companies and they all said 'No way, because corvettes have no bumpers'. I called a buddy and we got it out ourselves . Home by 1:30.
Wife says if I continue driving in winter I have to buy studded tires.
Anyway I survived and the billet caps did too!

Wow, that's quite the story.
I'm originally from Regina so I know what the roads are like in winter. Driving the car in the winter is a challenge at best of times (too much power and not enough traction in snow/ice), also very light in the rear.
When I get the C3 towed here in Calgary, I always find a tow truck that is a flat bed type. Then there is not a problem with lack of a bumper.
