The 1973 I bought rode just a tad better than say a Down Hill Derby Car. The springs were shot, who knows how old the shocks were, bushings were worn or nor even there and the rear was missing the sway bar
Now everything is new...Prothane bushing everywhere, 550 lb Gymkana springs front, Gymkana rear spring, new upgraded shocks, HD sway bars front and rear....I am starting to wonder just what sort of ride I will have.
Good thing I replaced all the seat springs, foam and new seat covers to give me a little cushion.

I have never had my 73 on the road, but I'm one year into a frame off restro /mod, VBP Composite in the rear VBP coil over in the front, Steroids Rack n Pinion for steering everything has been rebuilt on the suspension and all new busing. I'm hoping on a good ride... Time will tell
My 70 has a very nice ride. I found that by setting everything back to the way it was intended to be that the ride was VERY good. In fact I was very surprised at how well it rode.
The handling is decent but with the 15" tires (balloons) it does not corner as well as it could with 17" tires and wheels.
I cannot wait to feel the further improvement when I install my Bilstein HD shocks.
May I also say that when assembled as intended I am shocked at how little it rattles. There are virtually no rattles and it is a convertible.
