1977 Vette- how much should I ask?
The problem as I see it, tv auctions and vette magazine valuation guides. Yes we know the auctions can bring some over the top prices. But some are very realistic. I've seen some nice rubber bumper cars bring in mid teens. According to the "experts" here, that's ridiculous. Accordingly, the magazines don't know scat either. So just how does a person put a value on a classic corvette? Are we simply supposed to ask our resident experts opinion? And go with it? My opinion may differ from everyone else's. Every car or motorcycle I've owned and sold I have used a valuation guide. NADA, KBB, Edwards. Because I am not an expert. I realistically evaluate the condition punch in the data, get a ballpark number and list it. Rarely have I wavered more than $1k in final selling price.
