Default help identifying this part....

i cannot seem to find the part listed anywhere.....

it is the aluminum tubing that goes from the exhaust mani shielding to the underside of the air cleaner intake.

there is no clamp on the bottom side that connects to the valve cover.. should there be ?

anyone know what bulb size / part number for under the hood..off hand ?

tks

The tube is going to be a flex heat pipe or something along those lines, probable listed with the air cleaner parts

check paragon #8710 and 11780k, looks like there should be a clamp at each end

Owners manual should tell you what bulb goes where.

It's sometimes referred to as a "stove pipe".

When doing research for the NCRS 78-79 and 80-82 Judging Manuals, 15-20 years ago, some cars were found with just one clamp at the top or bottom, while others had two clamps. I'm assuming that GM intended there to be two clamps on the pipe, but they may not all have left the factory, with two installed. I'm not sure what the Judging Manual calls for, and I don't have my manuals near by at the moment.

Like sfsvettes stated it is called a pre-heater hose, and yes, they can be bought at any parts store (quite common, used on many cars in various sizes).

tending to think the 1 clamp on top is factory as this is basically a one owner car.
