Well, this is just upsetting...
why someone would do this kind of stuff is beyond me.
I get that folks will do what they wish with their own vehicles but really there can be no reasonable explanation. And here I am trying to save my dilapidated '77 and someone ruins a perfectly usable body shell. UGH!
Rant over,
Lee

Who ruined this Vette? The guy who let it rot away in a forrest or the guy who added those stupid foot-wide flares?
RIP (Rust In Pieces) for another great Vette...

Both very valid points...such a shame.

There was a dedicated thread to this Vette some years ago where I believe someone in the forum knew where this was. Anyway, there were rear and interior pics to go with it. But..........regardless of the photo angle, it didn't look any better.

The owner watched Barrett-Jackson last weekend and just knows his Vette is now worth at least 50K.

If Chevrolet had built a "dually" Corvette, I would imagine that is what it would look like!

It looks like he took a 50 gallon barrel cut it in half and fiberglassed over it.

That were my thoughts as well. Just a shame to let any vette die like that.

Here's the original story-
Lot's of other cars just rusting away- and from what I heard they were all scrapped- south of Atlanta is where they were located.
Scroll down the page and there are some more pics of the car-

Thanks for the link and info, Richard. A shame all around...plenty of parts that could have been used off of it, ya know? Some of us don't have the $$$ for a show car but we can save one and at least drive it. Better one more on the street than gone forever.
