Ongoing A/C problem 1978 L48 auto

Just an update . My appt. for the a/c repair has changed to tuesday the 11th . My mechanic is such a concientious guy that he wants to make sure he has the whole day to play with the car .
I am also putting in 2 new front calipers , brake hoses and new shocks all around . I went with KYB gas shocks . I hope I made a good choice for shocks . Please chime in if you have a better alternative . The auto parts store I deal with is very cool and right next door to my job . They will have no prob. swapping them out ..... Thanks again .....
