Default Down but not out

Had my half shaft break on me.

Took out my new fiberglass leaf spring and toe chamber bracket.

I put in a new 9 steel leaf spring and had the bracket repaired. Now need new bushing for my a arms so I can get a alignment done.

Where can I just buy the a arm bushing and just them without buying a whole kit?

You can get just the bushing at most of the Corvette vendors. Just had to get one myself at Corvette Central.

I just pulled out of a old folk home when it quit on me. Most of the damage was done by me getting out if the follow of traffic.

Took me only 6 hours to fix everything.

I am loving my new steel spring. Never going back to fiberglass. I wish I did take pic of the damage to being fix. But sadly only thing on my mind was my baby hurt and must make her happy

Why not? I've read only positive comments on the composite springs.

Hold a fiberglass spring then try to pick up a steel spring. Steel springs act as a ballast to help keep weight in the back. Fiberglass spring do last far longer then there steel springs but the second you crack a fiberglass spring it a time bomb where as steel will hold up. There are pro and con for both and each person like what they like. Dont let me stop you from spending $300 plus for fiberglass over a steel at $150.

I remember reading that the GM engineer's used the metal rear spring weight to not only give the car more rear weight bias, but also, due to it's very low position, help lower the center of gravity, in the rear. Lou.
