Default 69 starter wires

Now on to the next issue hoping someone can help. Manuals on order but trying to get some things figured out today.
This is what I have figured out so far

Green highlight is the positive battery
Pink Highlight is the ignition switch
Yellow highlight not sure
Blue Highlight not sure

Any ideas?

I think you're missing a wire- a black one that goes to a bellhousing bolt for ground to the wiper motor.

There are also a couple that go to the same terminal as the battery cable- those feed the rest of the car. The inboard terminal on the solenoid gets one that comes from the ignition switch "start" and the outboard terminal get a wire that goes directly to the coil.(+). With not being able to determine the color of the wires, you'll need to use a 12v testlight and a meter to figure them out. If you can clean them enough to see the colors- the start terminal wire is purple, the one to the coil is yellow, power to the car is red, and then the black to ground.
I have a wire diagram and there are a couple places online that have them too. Necessary item to chase 40 year old wires

Here is what I figured out so far. Added letters to the picture to make it clear also.

A I believe is the main power cable from the battery
D is the purple wire switch wire
C is a red wire
B is orange but looks to go to a plug on the driver side not connected to anything

Looks like B is no longer used and they are pulling power for the coil from another location.

I assume that the A and C go together on the main stud on the starter.

Looks like I am missing the ground to the wiper motor. Does that just ground to one of the main bolts on the wiper motor to the bell housing?

That's it

D is the purple wire switch wire Inboard terminal on the solenoid
C is a red wireThat will also go to the battery terminal on the starter

B is orange but looks to go to a plug on the driver side not connected to anythingIf it comes out of that harness, it goes to something down there.

Looks like B is no longer used and they are pulling power for the coil from another location. If it still has the factory ignition, it should go the + side of the coil. There should be 2 wires on the + side of the coil. One from the ignition switch and one that comes from the outboard terminal on the solenoid.

I assume that the A and C go together on the main stud on the starter.

Looks like I am missing the ground to the wiper motor. Does that just ground to one of the main bolts on the wiper motor to the bell housing?
IIRC, the wiper motor ground is thru one of the terminals in the plug on the motor

I have the wire diagram, but no way to upload it. If you have the service manual it's in there. Or hit google and see if you can find a copy. There is a forum member that will send it to you if you email him but I don't recall his name. Search C3 wiring on the forum.

the resistor wire 'B' goes to the solenoid terminal marked 'S' , the one that is farthest away from the engine. it sends a signal when cranking to the coil '+' to aid when starting. should have two wires at coil'+' both are of the resistor type. T
