Default Found Neglected 68 In a Warehouse!

Those of you who know me know I am a purist at heart but this car intrigues me. I know, 69 doors but it is a 68. The frame is solid. The story behind it is interesting to say the least. A friend of mine uncovered it for the first time in decades. The last registration was in in NY. More to come.

NEW UPDATE 03/35/14

I have always liked that paint scheme... one of those "if it could talk" kind of cars

I do. I've owned my 68 L79 since I was 17 (I'm almost 46)

Something else is giving me the ****** about this car though. It's a 68 for sure. VIN is (guess) March of 68. I have a picture of the front but for some reason I can't get it to upload. Has the 68 ONLY front grilles, 68 seatbelts, 68 Ebrake, oh...and a 68 title.

Looks like a old race car. May be something special. I've seen that front end a few times over the years. Looks like a fun project.

I guess you can say at this point I am knee deep in this one. Anyone have a doghouse I can borrow?

Wow, I wonder what it would say if it could talk?? Is this going to be your next project? It definitely makes me feel less overwhelmed with our '69 project

I would be interested to see all the body work that is hiding under that paint. I bet it wouldnt take much paint stripper to get it all off

It looks like an old MOTION Corvette with the inverted side vents and that frontend.

Thats what I was going to say... Manta ray headlights and taillights, GT gas cap, vents, hood... looks like someone at least sent Joel Rosen a check for parts.

And so the "story" is......but who knows.

This car was found in a cinder block garage. Bad part of town. Original owner is deceased. Son wants it and all the rest of the crapola out.

This is part of the 'crapola' the son wants gone. Pratt and Whitney. He's sending it to the scrapyard. It works!

Sending it to the scrapyard!?!?!?!

Sorry....I didn't mean to lose control and yell like that.

I could manufacture nearly all the rotating parts that a Corvette would need with that Lathe!

Is there a Milling Machine in the "scrap-pile" too?

What else is that "fella" planning on destroying!

(What is the price for it/where can I pick it up?)

I have the mold for the 68-69 vents inside out for gills....they will be on my car,

But and I guess I will get flamed, I don't care if Motion did make it famous I HATE the Datsun Z car headlights...they just make a smooth slick nose look all bug eyed weird to me....

If you like that look buy a Dino, a Kelmark or a Z car......
