I'm looking to buy a quality padded storage bag for my tops. Any recommendations?

The description says 84 - 96 I do not see why they would not work for earlier years

I've had my eye on the suitcase for a while, let me know how this turns out. I already have the factory bags, but the padding in the suitcase seems like it would protect better.

Ive had the "suitcase" for several years for my glass tops and I really like them. That's a good price.

I had my sister-in-law just make me a set.

I can get measurements if you want. She used thick padded vinyl with velcro to close it.

$50 in material.

I used the "suitcase" type for a while... Then got the brackets for mounting them on the rack... Now I don't know where the bag is....

I am about to buy these also. The ad says it is only 3 inches thick which makes me think that it might only hold one t-top. Are two cases needed or do both fit in one case?

Both tops fit in the bag - there is a thin, padded divider that comes with it. When both are in it it zips securely closed. I would strongly recommend first windexing the tops every time before inserting them in any sort of stack-storage or the everyday silica dust that settles on everything will scratch the glass when they nestle into the bag which is avoidable.

I have the padded suitcase as well and really like it. It takes up more room than the simple bags but I think it offers a lot more protection for the tops. I still continue my old practice of sticking each top in an old large white tee shirt though before sticking them in the compartments!
