Another door lock ? on 81
This should be an easy ? but I need to find out if I'm doing something wrong.
Remember, I did not disassemble this car, just putting it back together. Anyway, I got a new pawl and clips for the door lock cylinders and attempted to install this wknd. Cylinders and pawls installed but clips do not work. It seems pretty cut and dry about how to install them but damn if I can figure it out. On the clip there is a larger opening that the shaft of the lock cylinder goes thru to hold the pawl in place, then you slide the clip down to the smaller side and it locks in place, right? The clips I purchased do not lock in place. the hole is bigger than the shaft end, preventing it from securing. Is that correct? or am I missing something?
