68 427 BB Differential value??
Can someone please tell me what the value is of a complete, used 68 427 differential with 3.08:1 gears? The case is in excellent shape and everything turns freely.

Post it on ebay and see where bidding goes most not every time as much as some people do not like it and as many bargain hunters are there ebay is a rather good gauge of parts value.....going rate more so than that hold out for top dollar....

It's installed in a rusty 67 chassis i have for sale. Im trying to decide if it is worth removing the differential and selling it separately.
Ebay is hit or miss...just depends who is looking at that particular time. i have screwed myself before by listing items for a low starting bid. Not to mention, by the time ebay takes their cut, then takes another percentage of what you charge for shipping(which I still havent figured out how that makes any sense) and then charges you another 2 percent through paypal, the seller is out about 14 percent. So, i try to sell things on the forum when i can.

There are no more original unused C3 diff iron casting parts. A good differential iron casting, with no cracks, smooth uncorroded races, no damaging rust, should be worth a few bucks, certainly more than $50. I bought one from Tom's...can't remember what i paid, I think it was at least $200 or maybe $300. Whatever, it wasn't cheap and he said he didn't have very many left.

There is one on craigslist used in Richmond Virginia going for $375
Then there is one in Northern Virginia supposedly rebuilt going for $780
If you were closer to me where I could come get it, I would buy it from you for $300 and pull it myself.
