I am a lover of all corvettes I have owned an "84" "03" "07" and "11" but I have always preferred the C3. About four months ago I bought an 81 corvette, the car had been sitting in a back yard with six dogs living in on and under the car. After inspection I was able to see the car was complete and in desperate need of reparation. Being a mostly Arizona car the rust was mostly limited to surface rust and Since I purchased the car I have decided to customize it to fit my wants in a corvette. Please let me know what you think, because I currently have a "74" "75" "79" and of course my "81." I plan on restoring and selling the other three and I need to know if my modifications are even remotely desirable. Please see the attached link it will take you to my photo album.
I'm a new member to Corvettes and the Forum...the black one looks sharp.
I'm guessing the white car you recently bought will look similar to it.
All of pictures are of the same white car, black with yellow stripes is where I'm at right now. Currently waiting on carpet and then I can finish wiring the new ECM and remodeling the interior.
It's not everyone's cup of tea, but personally I like the look. So much in fact that I have been thinking of trying one myself. You have so many vettes a custom one sounds like fun. These are from an 02 Celica.
OK you asked so here goes. 1st let me say I'm not a stock guy. Everything I own is modified in one way or another. So with that said while I don't think the lights look bad my concern with every "now and wow" mod is they become dated. Remember square headlights? I like more traditional mods. FIA lights would work for me. Yes I know that everybody does that and there is nothing different about it but it's a lot easier to reverse to stock then what you've done. Again it's your car your taste not mine. You build to your vision. That's what makes the world go round. There are many mods that are very polarizing. Ask about 18" or 19" wheels and see what happens.

I was thinking about making the 75 a tube frame race type car but unfortunately I'm buying carpet for the 81 next or else I would be all over that front end

I looked at the FIA lights first but I couldn't find them for less than $1000 so I searched for days before I came across the blue vette. I finally decided to looked up some corica lights and was able to get them for about $200 so with some fiber glass mat some dynaglass and some glaze putty I was able to put them in for a grand total of about $260. As for the wheels I purchased a 2011 grandsport when I returned from Afghanistan I eventually changed the wheels so I had an extra set but for an everyday driver that tire and wheel combo is terrible. Just the back tires need to be replaced about once a year(if you like to have fun driving) and the tires cost about $650 a pop. Thank you for the good feed back
I wish I did but only this 1 other pic. Am curious to what else was done to the car also.
Those are the only two I was able to find as well I even tried looking for the phone number to the shop but it's not legible. Anyway thanks for the reply.
