Default Trailing Arm Question

Guess we all know the pain these are, as I'm having to do both. What about since it's out and having to be rebuilt, drill a grease zerc hole for the ability grease the rear wheel bearings in the future. Any thoughts?

I was actually going to do this, but giving the few miles that i drive..... I figured it wasn't necessary. However it surely wouldn't have hurt anything either, unless your being judged.

I wish that I would have done it last month....maybe a fitting for each bearing rather than one fitting for the entire housing.

The only way that I could see this working is to drill a hole through the side of the bearing support and each bearing race. Otherwise I think it would be no more effective than those tools used to squeeze grease past the grease seals. I've never heard anyone say that these are effective.

Default Wheel Bearing

The originals in mine lasted 100k miles plus. Today's synthetic grease should help even further.

IMHO do it like GM with maybe better than OEM tolerances and be done with it.
