New problem. Need help...

Hi, everybody! New problem at mine Vet. The gear shifting cable rusted. The day before yesterday I disconnected the coulisse from a box, but I can't pull out a cable. For this purpose it is necessary to remove the panel of additional devices. Prompt as it to remove? I turned off screws from above (number 1 on a photo), but it clings to a middle part (number 2 on a photo). Whether it is necessary to remove the panel of the emergency brake, if yes that as? Thanks.

how to remove the panel number 2 ???

There are 2 screws that hold that panel to the center shifter panel. At number 2. You have to remove the seats to get the side panels off and the screws are right at that spot.

Understood. Thank you. And the bottom, under the car it possible to somehow remove the shift cable? Do not really want to remove the chair.

There are 3 phillips head screws (circled in red) that hold each carpeted side panel in place. I am able to get mine out without removing the seats by using a stubby Phillips screwdriver.

Then you will have access to the screws (#11 and #19) that hold the center console plate. You will also need to unfasten the heater control (#16) from the console plate before you remove it.

Final note- You will need to unscrew the shift ****, there is a small spring under the ****. Be careful not to loose it.

Also, when you remove the center gauge panel, there is a light at the top of the panel. Be VERY careful at this point. The light will try to catch on the dash pad and if you are not careful, it can catch the dash and crack it.

Here is a illustration of the shifter cable. You may not have to remove the console plate or the center gauge panel to change the cable. Just remove the right side carpeted panel for access.

Remove #13, #9, and #19 from inside the car. Then remove #9 and #25 from underneath and the cable should come out from the top.
