Default power steering leak

I have a power steering fluid leak coming from just the right side of the front left tire. Without it being on a lift I can't tell exactly where it's coming from. Front suspension is brand new. Looks like there may be a hose or something metal underneath there. Any ideas? Thanks. Bill

You will have to get it on a lift, ramps or stands to have a look, there are a lot of parts to the power assisted steering system. Pump, two hoses to steering valve, steering valve with two more hoses to ram and then the ram itself. If the steering components were upgraded as well as the suspension it could be something as simple as a hose connection that needs tightened.

I just went through a "leak fest" on my PS system. First it was the PS control valve which I understand is a notorious felon. Replacing that got most of it but that exposed a high pressure hose leak from the PS pump to the control valve. Could have been an over-tightening issue when the valve was replace. That took care of it. Just a coule things to look for (especially the control valve).

I had a leak on a 72 El Camino in that same spot. The mechanic I took it to had a "dressing" tool (home made) that he refaced the surface of the connection in the control valve with. Stopped the leak at minimal cost.
