Default Front suspension rebuild.

I know there are a thousand threads on this, I did the search.
I want a kit that includes name brand parts. Moog, TRW. Where can I get a kit to do this. I priced the parts out at Rock Auto and it was around $260.

$260 isn't bad at all and you know what you're getting.

Try Willcox Corvette here on the forum. They use the good stuff.

I bought a full kit from a supporting vendor. None of the parts are labeled by manufacturer. All are in the little plastic bags with the same simple white labels that are on 99% of the stuff I buy no matter where I buy it. Even the "part name code" is the same (SU-something). After reading about the wide variance in quality that is available, I ordered specific Moog parts from RockAuto.

The parts from RockAuto came in Moog boxes and are more substantial than the parts that came in the kit. Even the mounting holes on the ball joints that fit the control arms are better spaced. They simply looked to be better made.

The kit parts may be OK for an occasional driver, but I wanted mine to be ready for a long trip and for many miles to come as I drive my car a bunch! I recommend ordering the specific parts you need by brand name from a vendor you know.

I don't offer this info to slam any supporting vendor (it was not Willcox). However, I want to know what I'm getting when I spend a bunch of money for it. Just my two cents...

Better the devil you know. I have actually ordered parts from Rock Auto up north here for my wife's car. A lot cheaper than the dealer; and they actually were in a Toyota box!

I bought a kit for my 67 GTO prostreet car. I bought it from one of the dealers that advertised in the back of the major car magazines. The quality wasn't there and I ended up getting all TRW and Moog. Threw most of the kit in the garbage.
