Is anyone running them on their c3?.
If so, how wide?, 8"?, 10"?, what kind offset and could you please post some pictures?.
I have a Classic White 79 and I think those rims would look pretty sweet.
Look at the pics in the thread "100pics of corvette expo" there is a pic of a late 70's vette with the wheels I think your talking about. I like them. They look good on most anything.

I think they look good on a fat fender rod or a classic hot rod with no/open fenders. Too much shine for most other applications. I'd use 8" rally wheels with police centers or or classic small 60's 'vette "Disc Brake" centers. No bands. Old school. I'm not a big fan of the big derby centers and bands but I have them for my '77 when I feel like changing them out.
I have always like those wheels. But on a C-3, I don't think it works. The wheels give it an old school look thats seems older than the car itself. IMHO. I have chrome rallies on mine but although almost the same the slots and the center cap change the look altogether. They look ok I guess for now.

Thanks guys. The brown vette pic has the wheels I was thinking of.
I think they would work on a white C3.
I'd have to see them in person first to really make up my mind.
You must have an opinion as to why?. Why don't you share it with us?.
Well if you put a little thought into what I wrote my opinion is right in it.
I don't think they go on a vette. They look good on an old hot rod or if you had a muscle car in the 70's. The onlt time they were put on cars was when someone was saving for some chrome wheels and they were like a fill in until they got enough money.
But my opinion dosen't matter, it is your car and your money. You make the car the way you like it. The only one you have to please is yourself. I never ask peoples opinions on how something will look, in the end it is what I like.
It really is true that whatever you select, it is your car and your choice.
If we were all in lock-step on how the cars should look, I would guess-ti-mate that some of us would ride the bus.
Make it your own and capture the image.
Personally, I think the body style of a C3 car is too advanced to have the 50's and earlier look that baby moons and chromed wheels show. A C3 just looks better with a rally style wheel, if running steel. It's the slots and ridges vs. an unslotted smooth look that gives it the racers stance that I find most appealing.
