Default '73 shroud - which one?

Need help on selecting a fan shroud for my 73 bb. At present it has a well worn early 73 shroud that attaches at the top centre with 2 bolts. The replacement part is around $330 USD. The late 73 shroud appears to be exactly the same but it attaches to the rad mount with 2 brackets. My rad mount has the holes to accomodate the brackets. That shroud comes in at around $250 USD including brackets.
Has anyone replaced their early 73 bb with the late 73 shroud and if so are there any mods to be made??
A pretty lame question but I am down under and there's no shop I can pop down to and compare products. Plus, once I've had my pants pulled down from shipping it over here, I would be miffed if it did'nt fit right.
Thanx in advance for any help
Scotto
PS Shame Ecklers doesn't do international shipping (can I say that?)

check out the last thread i started, id post a link here, but i cant figure out how on the I Device. im having the same issue on my 73. i ordered a willcox shroud that i believed was a late 73. my center mount was bubbaed to hell...so i ordered a new center mount from willcox also. willcox says there is only the center mount in 73. other vendors, and some of the pix in my previous thread seem to suggest otherwise. when i get home ill have both my new willcox shroud and mount, and i can see if they will work. prob be tuesday till i can provide any further info

edit... i think willcox was way cheaper than the prices u have in your post

GL!
