So, I installed my serpentine system two weekend ago. The car ran great for half a day then it started squealing. I turned off the car and noticed the power steering pump was leaking. Summit has been great, but the one they sent me to replace it was the wrong one and they do not carry the original any longer. I tried removing the pulley, but bent it all to hell, so I had to buy another one. Then, I was finishing my recover job on my dash. It was turning out great! I got to the driver side and started glue it in place and pulling the vinyl to get the wrinkles out and I snapped the dash in half. So I had to buy a new dash pad. I bought a red one because it was $150 less than all the others. I plan on dying it to match. Finally, my wife and I were driving separate cars and pulling out of our driveway. I thought she had pulled out so I ended up backing right into her 2013 Malibu. It is sad when you look forward to going to work to escape the weekend!
One a good note, I bought a brand new gas grill for $75 because it was missing the igniter.
Yep, I kinda know how ya feel. The washing machine motor locked up, set is 13 yrs old, decided to just get a new set. Brought them home Saturday and hooked them up. Sunday, wife washes a load and the new washer floods the floor. Big sceen tv took a dump Saturday night too! No dents in the vettes though. Happy to get back to work today!
Thanks guys. I know there are people out there that have it worse and I thank God for all I do have. Bats, I am sorry for your parents. Hope they have a speedy recovery. 75' that surely does suck!
I have been trying to get the car ready for an upcoming show this weekend. Now, I am down to the wire and it isn't looking good.

Thanks...it's hard both going down at the same time,
Anyway,
I know your pain, I was all set for a special cruise and I dont do the show thing much, I hit a pot hole busted a rear strut and the cars been down 2plus years and counting due to dominos...one problem showed another problem and so on....other than the pump mishap did you dig the serpent belt?
Man that sucks! Yeah, I love the new set up. It runs so much smoother. Also, I don't have to listen to the alternator belt squeal on start up any more. The PO removed the A/C, which I got back, and swapped the alternator in it's place using a cheap Mr. Gasket bracket which didn't line up correctly, hence the squeal. But, the car even sounds different. I also already had two electric fans, so I removed the mechanical one.
