Default Birdcage question

Is the birdcage the same for 1968-1982? Can pieces be used from any of them?

A '76 can fit an '80. I know, I've done it. The only difference being the locations of... and the types of clips for the dash mounting.

Not to overstate the obvious, but convertible and coupe cages are different.

OK, other than the obvious. Are the coupe cages the same?

Basic shape- yes, as far as i know. however, the moulding clips and mounts in the tbar differ. There may be some other differences. It can be made to work though. I have a late c3 windshield header bar on my 73 birdcage, no fitment issues but I'll have to redo the bosses where the t-top trim installed. Minor modification.

The twin ribbed panels behind the seats, in the bird cage, changed when they added the bubble glass back.
They lowered them to give you more rear interior space. My company made them. Lou.
