Well I finally got this fixed! Victory is mine! I ordered a new door ajar switch thinking maybe I broke the one of the driver's side since it looked original. When I got the new switch I was looking at it and realized it right side switch was shorter than the new one that came. I don't think it was fully depressing. So I installed the new one on the right side and all is well. Finally! I probably had 8 hours of work into a stupid door ajar light. It was driving me crazy!

Well initially I knew there was a problem with the right one because I realized there was a wire missing on the right one. I discovered this when I removed the left one. When I finally fished out the wire out on the right side and hooked it up the door ajar light still wouldn't turn of and then the courtesy lights also wouldn't turn of. So I thought I maybe broke the left one when I took it out.

Glad you got it fixed but all of these switches work off of the ground. The drivers side has two wires and the passengers has one. If they stay on then the bullet connector is staying in contact with the metal and creating the ground therefore turning on the light. Pull them apart clean out all the gunk, check the wire connection to the connector, then reconnect and they should work fine.
