I have been trying to figure out thr vac ports on my carb and discovered this hose .. It isnt connected to anything .. It comes up from under the drivers side fender... Does any one know what it is and exactly where it needs to be connected ?? Thanks for your help ..
Thanks for your reply,, This hose runs down under the fender on the driver side,, it is connected to something under there,, I'm trying to figure out what it's connected to under there and what the other end needs to be connected to... The vac advance is already connected...
The top of the canister on a 78 looks like this (other years are different)
I'm not sure what that is but that is where the hose runs to and its connected to the top port on the left ...,, The other end is not connected to any thing ... Heres another picture that shows the pcv conections..

I guess I just need to know where to connect the end thats not connected... Does it the fuel vapor canister need manifold vacuum or port vacuum ? Thanks for all of your replies..
I don't know, you don't have that elbow on your air cleaner? I'm thinking it sucks the fumes into the engine from the air cleaner and burns them.
I'm not sure either,,,, it says controled vacuum on the end that is connected to the canister,,, not sure but i'm kind of thinking it might mean that it should connect to ported vacuum on the carb..Just guessing though,, thanks for your reply
Isn't it supposed to go to the TVS switch (blue thing) installed in the waterneck?
The canister is supposed to vent when the engine is at operating temp

Thats a good diagram,,, it looks more like what I have.. My EFE switch is in the same place as the one in the diagram.. It isn't hooked up to anything because someone had removed all of that when they installed headers on it.. Thanks for posting that..
