Default Vacumm hose

Inside the middle console there are some vacuum hoses that go to the heater/ax controls. The right side wheel has two hoses, the top hose isn't connected to anything. Can someone tell what it does connect to?

What model year? My hunch is that the disconnected hose runs to the rear astro-ventilation vents on the back wall.

I believe that in this photo, you can see what E-Mike points to. The top hose routes to the rear defrost via the small copper pipe. The middle hose is open to ambient air (vent).

The bottom hose is source vacuum.

This is a non-AC coupe application, not a convertible, oh by the way.

I have a 1971 Corvette Stingray Convertible with "vacuum issues" where "AC and Heat air" just trickles out of the vents. I need help in identifying which vacuum lines control the opening and closing of those "doors or vents" that sends the air into the interior of the car. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks. Steve
