seat belt problem

Default seat belt problem
81 vette. Seat belts retract and go back no problem...but they don't lock up at all. Even if i pull on a belt really fast...nothing.
Any way for easy fix?

The belts have inerita locks. They are not supposed to lock up until the brakes are being applied.

Next time you're cruising, apply the brakes and lean forward against the belt. If working properly, it will keep your torso from moving.
