Default I love my C3

Finally nice day in Chicago! Today I decided to drive my car to work today! I must say I had a big smile on my face!

The funny thing is that last Saturday I drove to a local GM dealer to look at a 2008 Z06. I was decided to trade my car C3 in and go home in the C6. I am so happy that the sales people (6 of them ) at the dealership never bothered to ask me if I needed anything. While I was at the dealer I parked next to the Z06 and as I looked at the two cars side by side I realized that nothing beats the look of a C3.

Thanks Terrible sales guys!!!!!!

Driving the corvette to work is always fun. I think it adds a bit of excitement to people's morning commutes.

I do like the 2008 Z06s. 2009 Z06 in the Competition Gray is my favorite "newer than C3" corvette.

Now that looks tuff. I like the side pipes on your car. Nice color also. Original?
Hope you got an engine in that thing to make those pipes sing.

Thanks for the nice comment. The color is original but not the original paint it was just repainted.
As for the engine....it is still pretty much stock for now. Since i have decided to keep her now I will finish the build with a fresh engine (maybe a ZZ4 or ZZ5) and the trans will be replaced with a 700R.

If everyone got to drive their C3's (or Corvettes) to work everyday…people would actually be up bright and early, excited, and actually wanting to go to work.

Here is my '72 at work, and I typically would just get to my frozen yogurt shop just prior to the sun going down to see the sun LIGHT up my orange '72. Trust me…nobody could miss my sparkling orange C3. I had tons of people coming and asking about it. I had real offers from $19,000-$30,000. I just smiled, shook their hands and said, "NOT today boys!"

I like C6's, I want one but I would have to give my '72 up and that is never going to happen. And if it does, I will be crushed. My '72 is called Orange Crush for the drink, and it was "crushed" back in October 2013 after a wreck. It is about to fully recovered. But I have been crushed to see it hurt. Anyways I am really glad you stuck with the C3! Love the side pipes.

Great looking car, your story reminds me of a cold afternoon when I looking at a used Cadillac. A salesmen open to the door to the showroom and stuck his head out. He yelled do you need any help? I asked him how much the car was? He said you have to come inside. I replied "No I don't, business must be good" got back in my car a left.
