Interesting..
Doing my daily rounds of Craigslist today I came across this interesting 1980. People selling late model C3s lately have come up with some "creative" prices. What do you guys think?

Belonged to Zora Arkus Duntov? Benchmark, Survivor, Top Flight and Bloomington Gold?
Is this for real?

To a layman (me) it sure looks legit. Nice car with a premium price.

Seems awfully real to me. If I wasn't away for school I would be going home to take a look at the thing to just admire it.

But why would Duntov have a Corvette, that "Came from Canada and is Calibrated in km/h."????

If you're going to take the man's name in vain, you should know how to spell it, especially in light of the fact it's on the (aftermarket?) nameplate on the console.

So what's the deal on this, anyone ever heard of this? What's with the name plate?
Seems if it were domumented, the price might not be terrible. Otherwise, its insane.

Don't quote me on this, but I seem to recall (not recently) one of the aftermarket providers would make one of those for you. It's been a long time since I've seen one.

All the baggage notwithstanding, it's a nice car. For someone who wants an 80 you couldn't make one as nice as this for that kind of money.
Unless there is some documentation to support the plaque on the ashtray door, I would ignore it and assume it to be aftermarket bling.

85 MPH Speedo
Sign of the times.
Once owned a '80 280ZX that had the federal mandated speedometer. So everyone just drove around with it pegged I guess.
