Default Seat Belts
So my '72 coupe has the three-point seatbelts without retractable lap belts. It only has retractors on the shoulder belt.

Why do all of the seat belt kits that say they're for '72 have retractable lap belts?

Is there something weird about my car, or is it just such a common upgrade that they only sell them that way?

72's are retractable from the factory. Take your seat out and see if the retracter is under the black cover maybe your retracters are frozen.
