Default Pink wire

Hi all,
I'm currently fixing a few electrical problems under the dash, mainly a rusted fuse box. I've found all sorts of things which haven't been that bad but I can't workout this mystery cut pink wire coming from the gas pedal kick down switch. I know it goes to the trans but how it does go through the main bulk head connector and I can't find it on any wiring diagrams. What does it do and what happens if I leave it disconnected it seems to kick down better than my 66 mustang.

Probably wouldn't hurt if you mention what year the car is

Check the neutral safety switch wiring. I believe your pink is included in the neutral saftey switch harness.

For what it's worth, Pink is a battery direct circuit.

OOOOOPS.

Bad info above.

Pink wires are IGN powered, not battery direct.
