They are pretty tough to find. Usually the ones you see on ebay are the commercially remanufactured ones that have been restamped. I have heard they never run right. I do believe their is an original one ebay now that needs to be rebuilt for around $1200. I think you can find they rebuilt for anywhere from $1000 - $1500 but it may take some time. I was lucky that my car included the original 7041205 for my car but it still cost me some good money to get it correctly restored.
Carbs for 70 and up manual cars are much more difficult to locate than auto carbs.
Getting the right person to rebuild it is so critical and worth the extra trouble and expense. Not many people left who really know what they are doing.
I had my Z28 carb restored to new condition . It was expensive , but the result was worth it . I have no hesitation spots , no,leaks , no starting issues .
I think if you have the original motor for your car , it is well worth the money to find the correct numbers carb to go back on it.
I'd find a rebuild able core carb .....and then send it to expert like Lars to overhaul it. That way your only fixing it once
