Default Help with 1973 value

Hi everbody,
new guy here. I am in need of selling my fathers Corvette and have not much idea of value.
1973 light blue, 454, 4 speed, convertible with hard top. slightly under 20k original miles. All original except for some engine mods; head work, cam, and .456 grears. does not have the smog contorl parts.
Car is in very good shape maybe a few points below excellent due to a lot of time sitting.
Ball park price anyone??
Thanks
Matt

Can you post some photos for the expert members to see....exterior-interior-engine bay-rear suspension(view under rear bumper)-etc.

This would help them give you a better estimate.

Take it back to stock.
It will be worth the cost. The rear gears for sure.
I have a 30k mile with the original engine on a engine stand.

Please be more specific. Where do you get accurate appraisals for older Vettes?

A professional automotive appraiser can get you in the neighborhood. Your car is slightly modified.

If you want to skip the appraisal, check the value assigned for tax purposes. That amount could be low, but it will give you a starting point.

Too bad you haven't posted photo's (the more, the better). All around the outside, interior, engine compartment, rear suspension and underside. Because these guys are experts at looking at Corvettes and at least you would've got a ballpark figure. They are very good at picking out the most amazing things, I would've not seen. Oh well. Good luck with the appraisal.

Another good way to get in the ballpark is to list it on eBay with a huge reserve; say $100k. If it sells for that you're golden anyways. It takes a little work to do a decent listing but you should get a good indication of value.

Matt,

The car looks awesome.

Assuming no rust... I'm going to say around $30k, could be even more. I'm sure others will chime in, but a BB 4 speed convertible has a lot of value.

That's a really nice Corvette. I can easily see $35K-$40K IMHO and I don't think that even includes the low mile factor. Interior is very clean. The engine looks stock, despite the mods. Very, very nice. Somebody's going to want this Corvette.

Very nice car! 73 values are definitely on the rise, and a big block 4 speed makes it that much more so. I would say mid $30s.

Slight difference in price. The values declined from 2008 to 2012, rather flat from there on.

The Hagerty values are based on averages but a 4 speed will definitely improve the price.
