You want an assembly instruction manual (AIM). They are model year specific for each model year. All the aftermarket providers carry the AIMs.
You can get them in two formats: hard copy paper for use in a three ring binder, or on CD. I have AIMs in both formats and prefer the hard copy paper versions.

I bought an assembly manual from Corvette America recently... it's been a valuable resource
on my task of putting my car back together...
I have not figured out the indexing system, but so far, everything I've need to look at has been in there somewhere... it's just takes a lot of page turning to find it.
Page through the AIM often enough and you'll see things are set up by UPC sections. Usually there is a table of contents at the front of the AIM giving you a quick reference as to where you want to start looking.
For early model years (68-72, maybe 73), regular production options are listed together in the back of the AIM making them easy to find.
For later years, options get incorporated into regular UPC sections. They're there, just takes a little more looking.
yes, yes that's what I'm afraid of. I ordered an owners manual, reprint and was not happy with the pictures from another corvette parts supplier. All I'm looking for is a assembly picture of the exhaust system duel 1973 - 74.

Not sure what you want. Left and right down pipes from each manifold back to the crossmember. Hanger at the crossmember. Left and right tail pipes and mufflers from there back. Left and right muffler hangers. Left and right exhaust tips on the 73; no tips on the 74.
74 AIM shows resonators; 73s did not have them.
TH400 exhaust is only slightly different because the RH pipe swings around the tranny.
Easy Mike,
What I'm looking for is to see if the original exhaust pipes had a hanger mounted under the rearend housing, or if the pipes just hang there?
I'm just worried that the pipes will bottom out, scrape the road. This is a clamp 2-1/2" system I installed. The original was 2" and did not show any type of hanger that the rear. The part suppliers I have seen don't show any type of hanger either???
If I recall correctly, there is no hanger under the differential. 76 and later cars with Y pipes have hangers in that area. Original pipes and mufflers were welded, negating the need for a clamp.

Hi petes74ttop,
Yes, thank you for the drawing. I see there is no mounting hanger under the rear diff. I have to make sure that the pipes going into the mufflers are all the way in. This will keep the pipes high enough and not to close to the rear diff. I think.
just don't want them hitting the road when I'm driving!
