I tried to see his point of view..................but I can't. Just a quick scan of craigslist can pull up many other great C3's WITH paint, for that same price and even much less.

This car is advertised for more than I paid for my car a few years ago.
Yes, I think we can agree that "survivor" would be rooted in "to have survived". Don't think that works for this particular car.
That said, I'm sure its a great starting point for someone. Looks like the car is all there.
As far as the mileage...I don't know. Certainly has age on, well, everything. But there aren't any tears in the seat and the steering wheel looks like its in great shape.
My 1970 had the engine replaced between 1976 and 1978 with a fresh GM manufactured LT-1 crate engine. So, my car was 7 or so years old when the engine crapped. It shows 84k on the odometer. All seems to jive with the pedal wear, seat wear, and other items.
In disassembly, it became very clear that the engine that was put in my car. The engine which was, at that point, 34 years old, had VERY little wear. My engine builder can't imagine there was more than 10k miles put on the engine based on the piston wall wear. And I knew the engine was OLD as evidenced by the 60# valve spring pressure. "New" and "tired" at the same time.
So I'm not so quick to discount low mileage on a car.
Doesn't mean it makes a damn lick of difference on this car...the thing is toast.
Hopefully someone will resurrect it. Of course, the starting price will need to be closer to $3k or $4k than $11k...
