Hello,
Forgive me for what maybe a stupid question to some, being in a rural area of Australia we don't see many Corvettes, anyway have just taken one to be engineered and was knocked back because the ignition key comes out when the ignition is in the "on" position, is this normal or is there a problem with the ignition barrel allowing the key to be removed?
is a 1979 model.
It's just a worn out key and tumbler... Could have em replaced if it bothers you.. My 98 dodge ram does the same thing for over a year now... No performance issues... Just might mean that'll be easier for someone to steal some day... I kinda like the option at times to pull the keys out with it runnin ... Lock the doors and head into a store etc...
