I've come close. Only on me older hats that don't fit as tight anymore. I'm young enough to wear it backwards though if it really becomes a problem lol. I hope it wasn't your favorite!

Lol.....no. cheapy hat. I have long hair and I wear it to keep it from whipping me to death with the tops off
This is so funny to me. First drive out in my 71 with the back window out and the tops off... had on a cheap gimme cap I got from work but it was comfy and I like the color. Had several close calls during the day where it started feeling light on my head and I reached up and pulled it down some. Then all of a sudden.... whoosh.... it was gone. Right out the back window. Wasn't worth going back for.
I have passed on so many of those cheap ball caps. I guess I won't pass on them anymore.
I have the Y-56 T-Top Carrier package on my '80 (Some call it the Butterfly Carrier) and I've had my hats blow off and get caught under it. I actually watched it in my rear view mirror once. I was driving about 50 mph and my hat lifted off my head, slid across the top and down the back window to get stuck under the tops. I just pulled over, retrieved my hat, tightened the band a little, and continued my trip.

I do the same thing (wearing them backwards). Learned my lesson from the days on the lake with the boat. Fished a few hats outa the drink from the blast of wind catching the bill. Only problem I had was finding a hat with the bill sewn on the back.
I picked up a 'wind jammer' in my travels... It looks like a little 6" bug screen that bolts right to the T-top mounting locations... Effectively it pushes all the air up/over the cab. With the windows down it will still get air inside... With the windows up, almost all air goes up/over the cab... Lemme see if I've got any decent pics that show it..
Being "folically challenged", I have to wear a hat or suffer the painful result of to much sun. I also wear a Tilley on most occasions, but I sure love ball caps! I can usually feel them loosen up just before lift-off, but I've lost a couple anyway. These were lost when I had MGB's, not in my Vette, which seems to have a 'calmer' cockpit.
