Default '82 Collector Edition

Hi Folks,
I am looking at these and have some questions.

The price guides are all over the place. What is a good one worth?

How hard is it to get the crossfire injection to work right? Are parts available? Is there a book for reference?

They all seem to have warped bumpers. Are replacements that will not warp available?

What are the chances of future appreciation over 20 years?

Thanks for your thoughts.

My advice would be to skip the price guides and check asking prices of CEs for sale. As far as a "good one", look for a complete car. Some of the CE parts can be hard to find if you need them.

Not difficult. A lot of Crossfire owners have no problems with the system.

...Are parts available?...
Yes.

Yes. You can get references for the Crossfire and the CE.

Yes, fiberglass or Tru-flex, and you might be able to scare up a pair of NOS covers. Keep in mind replacing bumper covers will require paint and trying to match forty year old one-year-only factory color.

That's anybody's guess.

Good luck with the hunt.
