So having had a C4 & two C5’s I’m now set on a 68-73 chrome bumper car and have been checking the for sale section and also what is available in the UK. I went to this supplier to look at something else but couldn’t help being drawn to this one and then noticed the sale price £89,995.00 or about $150,000.00 and wondered just how they could justify such a high price ??

It depends... IF this is a documented L89, it is one of 390 produced with aluminum heads in 1969. It is also a convertible. IF this is an original car- engine, trans, un-hit body etc.. it is very desirable. I am pretty sure you will not easily find another where you live. Good Luck

Thanks KingRat. It is a nicely optioned car but too rich for my blood when you think of the cars you can get at that price. I'm more in the £25k range
Hello Brit vet
I am just finishing a 69 Red/Red 427/390 matching numbers Convertible.
I purchased it to make a great driver. Instead I restored it of all aged items.
Wiring complete, complete interior.
Body was stripped and reprinted. It is so clean it did not need off body restoration.
Let me know if you have an interest. $55,000
Depending on original documentation present (POP, tank sticker, etc.), this is probably the correct range with an original block, trans and rear end. A total of 390 L89's were produced in 69---how many roadsters---an educated guess would be 10-20%---so pretty rare and desirable. And depending on options---even more rare.
I looked for several years before finding ours---I tell everyone I've been looking for this car all my life!
Anyways---I know of an L89 coupe that might be for sale if you possibly have an interest---someone local that I know.
