Default blower not working on high?

hey guys i got my heater fan to work on low and medium but not high. i have checked the fuses and they are ok and i have power going to all the wires that plug into the relay except the purple wire all other wires are good. i also tried replacing the relay on passenger side with new one three times but no luck, every time i got a new relay it had a place for the pig tails to connect to witch my plug does not have???, so kind of curious on that also. I am all out of ideas any help would be awesome. thanks guys. oh and my ac is no longer hooked up.

Default Relay

What do you mean by pigtails when referring to the high speed relay, it should have only a plug connector going into it?

yes there is only a plug going into it but the relay it self has an extra pierce for something to clip on too. the link you showed looks exactly like the old relay i was trying to replace but the one i bought looks like the one in the link below

the fine print at the autozone site says this

•For Pigtail Connector Use ~661~; Blower Motor Cutout Relay

or you could get the part from a Vette vendor

so I went ahead and replaced the fan switch and the correct relay and still the fan doesn't work on high. I have no clue what else it could be.

On my. '73 there is an orange wire that goes along the left fender to the horn relay. It has a fuse in it. That is the high speed blower power. If your year has that then that's why you have no high speed. The fuse is blown

ok i will check for an inline fuse tomorrow. Where is the horn relay suppose to be? The guy i bought the car from had changed the horn to be a button located near the steering column, so i am assuming i will have a hard time locating the horn relay

On the 68 there is a black ground wire.
It has an eyelet on the end and is affixed between the mounting tab on the relay and the mounting screw.
If its off the relay will not activate.
Look and see if it is lying nearby unattached.
As soon as you make contact with the relay body it will activate the fan in hi blower mode.
If no wire make a ground wire and attach it under the mounting screw and to the frame.
Remember the relay is mounted in fiberglass so it technichaly is not externally grounded.
You can run it down to the block ground and that should solve the problem.

The relay is on the left fender about in the middle just below the hood edge.
