A drill will gather up the vinyl covering and tear it. Use a sharp blade to cut through the vinyl, then a series of small low-speed holes through the ABS backing, and finally a blade to cut the bridges between the holes. Finish off with a file.

I agree with the above, use an exacto knife to carefully trim the vinyl and foam from the door pull area. You don't have to cut through the black plastic.
The door pulls are secured with machine screws, the home depot sells a 10-24 tap and #25 drill set. Install the door panel so that the lock hole is centered and drill and tap the 2 holes and attach the handles now.
At the lower front and rear attach the lower door clips.
The top inside screws, front and rear are sheet metal screws might be #8 but I can't remember for sure. They need upholstery washers.
The door panel hangs on a lip at the top of the door and it holds it flush so I left off those two screws.
