The replacement radio in my 73 has been acting up. It's a Custom Autosound USA-630 with bluetooth attachment. Recently the display no longer shows brightly but only very dim, and the sound quality through blue tooth is terrible. Even worse, the radio isn't picking up any fm or am stations. I imagine it is an internal short, anyone have any experience with this model and whether it's worth attempting a repair or just contact the manufacturer for a replacement? Thank you for the help!

Sorry I can't help you with your radio problem.
But I hope you stick around and ask as many questions as you need to.
Some people you just have to ignore.

Welcome to CorvetteForum's C3 forum. Unfortunately, your first question is apparently outside of our forum responder's knowledge base. Work with our forum and ask questions about your 73...you'll get some valuable information that you won't otherwise have access to.

I've never been too fussed about the radios in my 68 and 70 and the 69 I used to own. Reason..can't really hear the radio because of engine exhaust noise. Nevertheless, I'm in the process of having the original Delco stereo radio of my 70 restored. It's a somewhat difficult radio to find today because there weren't that many sold. In 1970, the AM/FM Stereo radios were, I believe, about $500+ extra.. a whopping expense for that day.
If you feel the problem is within the unit and if it is still under warranty, you're headed in the right direction by contacting AutoSound. Have you posted in the Audio/Electronics Forum?
