Turn signal problem fixed...
Last season the working signals started to intermittently not work, not flash. I checked the bulbs first as it was easiest. Changed the front bulbs. Then the problem got worse, lights just stayed on with turn signal engaged and dash turn signal indicators lit up with the headlights on.
So over time I changed the flasher under the passenger dash, no change, changed the flasher at the fuse box no change, changed the fuse with the possible corrosion and low voltage situation.
Last season ended with the problem and the car stored. Took the car out this season with fixing that number one on the list. Thought it must be a grounding issue with current pushed where it shouldn't be (Both dash indicators lit with headlights.) So I tore off a small piece of sand paper and went under the front end to pull the bulb and sand down the contacts as needed.
The wrong bulbs were in the sockets. I know i did it because I have the old bulbs, one in the picture. I usually go to the auto store parts counter and ask them to look up the proper bulbs. Got those and installed them. My fault, should have double checked and will from now on.
Replaced with proper 1157 A bulbs and the system is now fixed.
Wrong bulbs were connecting both bottom contacts with ground at the same time.
Picture: The one with two contacts is correct, last years pulled bulb.

This info might help someone some time. I think there was also a problem with one flasher too or I would't have started fixing.
By the way people don't understand the universal arm signals for turning these days. They usually honk, sometimes curse out the window as if I didn't indicate turn but if they knew the hand signals...
