I saw it at a drive in theater in the back seat of my parents' Buick station wagon soon after it came out.

I've seen the car. If you get the chance to peek inside, take a look at how they wigged up the RH drive. I won't spoil it for you.

Last I remember, the car is up in the collection at MidAmerica Motorworks in Effingham, Illinois. Mike Yager's collection. Is that where you saw it?

I saw it at Bloomington a few years back. I believe that was before Yeager bought it.

My wife had never seen the movie - and really digs our Vette - but just kept saying "wow that is one ugly vette" over and over again!
BTW that firebird is a very rare one!! Too bad they killed it!

My son loves the movie (he has the dvd). Back in the early 90's, I remember seeing the car at a small corvette museum located near the baseball hall of fame in Cooperstown, NY. I would love to take my son to see the car now ... is it still @ Mike Yaeger's place ?

When he flip/rolled the firebird... The car leading up to the jump had sidepipes... The car that flipped had dual exhaust under the car... Lol

I had a 1980 firebird, and a 71 formula donor car that I got the motor/trans from... Sadly, got rid of both cars a few years ago... But hey... Wound up with my vette! Can't complain!

My copy of corvette summer is on VHS.. Lol
