Yup. I stumbled across 5 corvettes today, 1-1968 and either 3 or 4 1977's in various states. Before I make the owner any offers I want to get some idea of their worth. The 68 is running pretty well and is a driver. That one I will keep and do just that. One 77 is apparently a brute, scary driver and he will likely not sell it. He said it scares hell out of him every time he goes out in it. The rest I can pick up also and here's the most unbelievable thing. None of them are over $10,000! I am not making this up. Please give me some idea what the heck I should do.
Also, that 1963 convertible is in excellent shape but the owner is talking $65,000 or so. It too is a driver but it really is in good shape. HELP!
Hard to say without pictures or further inspections. In the end, they are only worth what you are willing to pay, and what the seller is willing to sell them for.
Also, with you being in California, make sure the 77's have their current registrations or have recently passed emissions if that is a worry where you are. The 77's had some pollution control items that a lot of people took off as soon as they got their cars back in the day.

Here in SoCal, especially on Craigslist, there's so many Late C3's for sale at under $10K, I counted FIVE on the first page! So I have to call BS on this thread, because I don't know anybody, who'd want to go out and scoop up "3 or 4 1977's in various states", because that is just crazy.
Well I got the feedback I wanted. The 63 is a fuelie but he was talking about the $60's. Of all the cars it is the best quality, i.e. condition, originality, numbers. I never knew what looking for these older cars would entail., Good thing I have time to do all this. The 68 might be the best deal of the 6 and I will pursue this one a little more before I commit. I will also get the fella who does evals to look it over before I make an offer. Thanks everyone.
Share some pictures of the '68. I prefer the chrome bumper cars myself, but own rubber as well. Rubber bumpers under $10,000 is fairly common. A '68 under $10,000 makes me skeptical of its condition.
Unless you know what you're looking for with '63 fuelies, you best consult a knowledgeable fuelie owner. It'd be a rough day to buy a fuelie and found out it started life as something else.
Hey Pete. Thanks for that. If I proceed to the next step with the 63 I will utilize the services of a knowledgeable corvette expert. One has posted here several times and I have his responses in a file.
Much obliged
