I just ran into someone selling a 1980 rear bumper with the integrated spoiler. Price is too good to pass up even if I do not install. Anyways, I also have a 1978-1979 rear spoiler that bolts on top. I am planning on installing one of these on my 1976 corvette. If you out there had a choice to install, which would you go with. I need opinions.
Thanks,
Mike
You asked so heres my take. The 80-82 bumper looks great on 74-79 Vettes when the front of the car is not wearing any kind of bolt on spoiler unless the front spoiler is moulded in. Now for cars wearing bolt on front spoilers, The bolt on rear wing is the best looking option. IMHO

Interesting. I will be bolting on a 2pc front spoiler too, soo I guess that the bolt on rear spoiler would be better. So far it looks as if the bolt on spoiler is the one to go with. I think I will still buy the molded one just for the heck of it. Maybe run into someone looking for one, or if I change my mind.
If the bumperettes are staying "bolt on" front and rear. If they are going then "mold in" front and rear. I think both ends should match but your car your choise.
Another good point. The front will still have the bumperettes after I install the front spoiler. I guess it would look weird if the back doesnt have the bumperettes too.
I picked up the 1980 bumper this weekend. good shape. ( thanks Steve). I will keep it, For now in case I change my mind. Long weekend coming up, maybe install the bolt on front and rear spoilers if the weather is nice I will post a pic. I am also switching over to the old school vector rims I got some time ago, and install the rear sway bar. Maybe take a trip down to my sisters house in richmond, alot of curvy back roads.
