Default Drop small block in with headers?

I'm doing my engine drop tomorrow. Does anyone know if it's possible (easy) to drop a small block in with headers attached, or should I save that for after it's bolted up?

Thanks!

I set mine in the engine bay and tied them out of the way. Then I dropped the engine down in between.

Attach the headers after you put in the engine. That way they won't get banged up and scratched etc. JMHO.

I've used two totally different types of long tube headers and they both slid in from under the car easy enough that I don't consider it a chore to remove and replace them

You could probably get the engine 80% lowered into the frame, then slip the headers in from above, tighten them down and be good.

Long tube Header installation after engine drop was a piece of cake for my 72.

Put the engine in first......it took only 10 minutes to install my Hooker Super Comps afterward. Headers go in easier than a spark change on small blocks.

I put the engine in. That would have been a cluster fsck with the headers on. It was only slightly annoying with out them. The power steering pump was a bit of a problem, I left it hooked up to try to minimize the pain of having to bleed it out... that was a mistake, but we got it done.

Thanks for the advice, everyone.
