The bronco is probably full of rust and if it's a 6 cylinder. you probably plan on going with a V8 and if it 4 wheel drive look out. The Corvette will not need alot as far as body work but the rest of it can be surprisingly worse than you think. $20 here $100 there adds up to $20K real quick.
If you intend on really keeping this car, as in it is your dream, then powder coat it and don't spare any expense you don't have to. If this is just a driver for you them rattle can it but at least buff, clean, prep it right, and not just a slap coat. You have already decided to do a frame off and I recommend you do everything under the body first. Sandblast the frame and components, if you are going back original then do all the suspension parts and misc. now. then once you get the underside back together you won't regret anything. A true realistic plan of what you want to do with the car will save you tons of money in the long run.
Yes 2 frame offs at a time is just nuts unless you have your own shop or money is no object in the project.
Not only is my sons bronco in the works, my brother in law has 70 bronco in the works. No deep pockets just very fortunate to have several barns on my in laws property where we have plenty of room to work. Knowing we had at least 3 frame off projects we purchased a sandblasting booth for smaller parts and converted one side of a barn to where we could sandblast the frames and bodies of the broncos. Sandblaster booth has been the best investment made so far. We have blasted and re-painted enough parts already to cover the cost of both blasters.

Yep it was., found it on the side or the road and they last owner just wanted it out of there yard. Don't forget the lift kit we added plus a complete engine re-build, bored and added a performance CAM to the engine. at least it is back to rolling chasis again and looks brand new. I will probably get out cheaper with the vette.
removed radiator - would rather have ice pick stuck in my eye than do that again.
You will find that an ice pick to the eye would be better than doing a lot of things with these cars.....LOL. It is almost like GM did not plan on anybody ever working on them once the body was dropped in place.

I wonder about that sometimes. For my '05 Cadillac STS to change the headlight bulb you need to jack it up and put it on stands, remove both front tires, remove both inner wheel well housings, unbolt the front bumper, remove the front bumper. That gives access the the headlight assembly and you remove that, then remove 4 screws on the back, replace the headlight bulb. Then reverse the procedure. Dealer has 3 hours time billing for all that work. For a headlight bulb that is known to need to be changed. They reccomend replacing both at the same time.
