Default AC not working correctly, 1982 Corvette

Hello Dear professionals
I charged my AC system that wasnt charged for a long time.
And after I charged it this is how the AC compressor is working(turns on and then turns off every few seconds) Here is the link for the video I took of my AC compressor working:

Any ideas what could be the problem and how I can fix it?
Thanks in advance for your advice.

Rapid cycling like that, to me, says check for low freon charge. You should look along the line by the right fender for a sight glass, and see if you see bubbles in the line. Add a little freon until the bubbles go away. Most likely need to find the leak.

Yup

Low Gas

If it is 134a

Did you pull a vacuum on the system , if it was completely empty of freon , then it was full air and moisture.

Put a vacuum pump on it .....if it won't pull down .....then it needs addt. help......fix leaks , replace dryer etc.

Go down to Dollar General

Buy a can with the hose .

Connect to low side port ,with engine running and AC on, squeeze handle to start transfer , give it five , or ten minutes once it's ....to get worked though the system.

See if that helps slow the cycling down and cool you too.

If not report back . I have had to add two cans to some of my other vehicles to get a full charge .

It should stay in at least a year ...or you need to find the leaks ......maybe hoses or schrader fittings ...very common

Thank you for your answer
I didn't find sight glass.
So, do you thing problem is not in the compressor? Just leak somewhere?

1,5 cans 134a leak sealer + UV dye, 10.25 oz per each.
Looks like leak somewhere. Now the compressor does not turn on

must be a pretty big leak.

I run 1.75 lbs of freon in mine.

so you need about three 10.25 oz cans to get it completely full. everyone around here sells 12 oz cans. I just charge it with the machine at work.

At least you can look for the dye and find the leak.
Do you have a wire connected to a switch on the back of the compressor? High pressure cut out switch?
