Been out running around in the old C3 a fair bit. My steering however was feeling a bit juddery on low speed movement and the belt looks real loose. I've had a new belt delivered so now planning to change it. Any guides or advice on how to go about it best would be most appreciated. I've had a search through and can't find anything..
well if other belts such as alternator are in the way they have to be removed first. Then loosen the PS adjustment nut and push the pump towards the center of the car to remove the belt tension.

Cheers amigo, I'll have a look at the AIM for the nuts. Gonna change the alternator as well so reckon that will make it easier. The air con has been deleted, not something we really need in Scotland in a T top
The power steering belt does not go to the water pump, only the harmonic balancer (at least on my 68). The AIM has the correct belt routing.
If no AC, then just loosen the bolts and slide the top of the PS pump to the right. The alternator belt is aft of the PS belt so you don't need to touch that one. There are three bolts to loosen. One that slides in the PS pump bracket at the top of the pump reservoir and two at the pivot point at the bottom of the pump, one forward and one aft.
