Default Frame pics please ....

I need a couple of clean photos of a 71 frame, in particular the front cross member under the engine where the lower control arms bolt to.
I have mine on my lift and it looks to have had some work done so I'm not positive if it has been altered.

Some clear photo's of this area would help a lot.

Thanks,

Dave

Dave- I'll get out tomorrow eve and take pics of the underside of the bare frame for you if that will help, but... if memory serves, you're in Ontario, right? The frame for my '73 ( which is actually from a '69 ) was just rolled out of the shop. You're welcome to swing by this weekend coming to take measurements or whatever.

Where is Brant County? I'm just east of Toronto, pics would help though.

Thanks,

Dave

Not sure if these will help, but they are all that I took of the front crossmember/lower control arms when I set the motor in the car a couple of days ago. I know the sway bar bolts are installed upside down in the pics. I'll try to take more detailed pics at the shop tomorrow.

Here are the additional pics that I took in the shop today. My car is a '70, but hopefully these will help you.

Very nice thank you, one of my concerns was that my cross member seemed to be domed, looks as if its fairly common.

Re: dented crossmember. Very common. I guess it wasn't designed to be a jack point.

You see, we creative fools just cause ourselves more work ... thanks a lot, guess that's next weekend all shot to hell!

Great idea.

TIE DOWN ANCHOR!!!!

I LOVE IT!!!

I can't wait to get my welder. Looking at a Millermatic 211. Going to do a full gusset job on my "new to me" frame I purchased for $550 from a fellow forum member.

Pictures like these are THE VERY REASON why I'm involved in this forum. Simply awesome.

Hey Keith,
When you put in your tie down anchors, remember to do the rear. I also put two on the rear crossmember, makes life simple for us trailer queen guys going to the strip each weekend.
