I have some things to be restored: speedo, AM/FM Stereo. Also, some body work. I would imagine that after the long 4th of July weekend, the long summer days, July 7 and the following days will see a tsunami wave of parts being sent in to be restored. I'm thinking I just might as wait a couple of weeks before sending things in. I want to replace the windows in my 68. I'd guess the body shops are full also. Anyone with insight? Thanks
Normally it puts a specialty shop about a week behind schedule after July 4th......
On the other hand, people use the extra cash for week-end vacations/celebrating!
Call the shop that you're interested in....they might have an opening...just make it understood that you expect the work completed on the day they say it will be done----or you might be receiving your restored parts on Labor Day

Late delivery...pretty common experience.
I took my 68 to Guildstrand's Motorsports for some mechanical work. It would have been the first or second business day after Christmas. I was startled to see that his shop was virtually empty..OMG I thought...this guy is going bankrupt. Left my car and returned two weeks later for pick-up...his shop was jamb-packed.
I have a long list of repro parts to buy. I'll ask the vendor salesmen how busy they are after the Fourth of July.
